EP 56: Lifted From the Rut with Rob Lohman
Wednesday Jun 08, 2022
Wednesday Jun 08, 2022
In today’s episode, I’m speaking with Rob Lohman of LIFTED From The Rut, which exists to help people suffering from addictions to Restore Hope, Identity & Purpose to your life. Rob is also host of two podcasts: “Beyond the Bars” and “Addiction, Freedom and Faith”
Rob shares his journey of his journey through mental health struggles, addiction, suicide attempts and recovery. Rob got sober in 2001, and shared his story of becoming an entrepreneur after being an 8th grade math teacher. He’s always been an entrepreneur at heart, but felt led to help people in recovery.
Rob has leaned on his faith to guide him in staying sober, being an amazing business coach, husband and dad, AND in writing his upcoming book, “The Art of Intervention.”
Rob’s best advice is to engage strong mentors, be honest, and share the “last 10%” you’re not telling others. That last piece of advice is what really touched my soul. What is the last 10% you’re not sharing? How would you free yourself if you were to release that burden and trust a loved one, mentor or mental health counselor with that last bit of heaviness you’re carrying?
Bio:
Sober since 2001 after a suicide attempt, Rob helps people find FREEDOM from substance abuse and feeling "stuck in a rut" to living a transformed life. He does this through sharing his testimony, Interventions, Coaching, Speaking, and being the host of both Beyond The Bars Radio and Addiction, Freedom & Faith Podcasts.
Rob invests in the lives of those wanting to see positive change, whether it is coming out of addiction, prison or just wanting more for their lives. He is a dynamic speaker who shares an extremely powerful journey of persistence, faith and inspiration.

EP 55: Ecommerce and Drop-shipping Expertise with Jaiden Vu
Wednesday Jun 01, 2022
Wednesday Jun 01, 2022
If you’ve been thinking about starting a business of your own, but you’re not sure what kind of business or where to start, listen to this episode and take notes. Jaiden Vu of Launchers Academy joins us today, and is dropping some serious wisdom.
I love how Jaiden and his team have created an academy to help those new to ecommerce and drop-shipping build a successful online shop. What I love the most is his advice about mindset.
Unlike a service business where we talk a lot about getting super specific and slim in a niche, Jaiden advises being product-specific in the e-commerce and drop-shipping space. He says that what’s necessary for success in this space is first being flexible and willing to test out different products until you find what works. THEN, you can build a brand and get niche-specific if you want. I found this really fascinating.
His best advice:
- You can’t win if you’re sleeping when your competitors are working. We all have 24 hours each day. Most people sleep 8 and use the remaining 16 for work, taking care of business, etc. He said he generally sleeps 5-6 hours and uses that extra time to get ahead on his goals.
- Acquire APPLICABLE knowledge. The more you learn, the more you earn. Whether you’re employed or running the show, you will increase your ability to earn more when you broaden your horizons and continue learning.
Jaiden’s Bio:
Jaiden Vu is a corporate chef turned Serial Entrepreneur, eCommerce Expert and Investor who has built multiple 7-figure companies at the age of 24.
As a marketing and sales expert, he has been recognized by Forbes, Entrepreneur, Yahoo Finance, Future Sharks and Business Insider as a top entrepreneur. He has been in the entrepreneurship space for 6+ years and has started and scaled multiple eCommerce stores and is currently one of the co-founders of Launcher’s Academy, which is on a mission to empower eCommerce entrepreneurs with the tools and resources to start and scale their eCommerce business.
Areas of Expertise:
High-ticket sales, ecommerce/dropshipping, personal development, investing (real estate/stocks), social media & marketing.

EP 54: The Perils of Conventional Time Management with Tracy Cherpeski
Wednesday May 25, 2022
Wednesday May 25, 2022
Welcome to Episode 54! Wow, I keep marveling at how this team effort, and it is a team effort, from our amazing guests, my incredible team, and our fantastic production guru…I am so appreciative to have made it past the “pod fade” to this place. Without all of the incredible people who support our podcast, I don’t know how we’d keep it up.
And speaking of gratitude, thank YOU for listening! We appreciate you and truly commit ourselves to providing value that you can apply to your life and business in each episode.
This episode is dedicated to those of you who think you’re failing at “Time Management” when really, conventional time management tools have failed you. They’re not designed for CEOs and leaders. They simply aren’t. The very word “management” implies a certain amount of control, and as you know, we have absolutely no control over time.
I briefly cover the 3 pillars of Time Leadership: Discovery, Analysis and (Inspired) Action. The bulk of this episode is dedicated to Pillar 1: Discovery.
If you’d like to MASTER building the foundation of Time Leadership, you’ll want to take notes, and answer these questions:
- WHY did you do this? Why did you start your business?
- WHAT made you excited? Or righteously indignant? Or both? What lights your soul on fire?
- WHAT is your grand vision? Grab your magic wand and play BIG here.
- HOW do you get blocked? What consistently comes up for you when you’re stretching yourself into a big goal?
We start at Discovery because without that information, it’s like taking roadtrip without GPS, snacks, water, and knowledge of where to refuel your vehicle. It’s cute, but not going to get you where you want to go.
Tune in to learn more, and be sure to leave us a review so your fellow entrepreneurs can find us, and subscribe so you never miss an episode.
Thank you!

EP 53: How to Slay Dragons with Don Schmincke
Wednesday May 18, 2022
Wednesday May 18, 2022
Today I have the distinct pleasure of speaking with the brilliant and insightful Don Schmincke of Saga Leadership and Growth Alliance.
Don comes from the world of Planetary Physics and BioMed research, so it makes total sense how he is now a leadership trainer, right? Well, once you listen, it’ll make so much sense to you. I’m not kidding when I say I’m geeking-out over the wisdom he drops about leadership styles, patterns over time, and just his general knowledge and understanding of human nature, and how to bring out the best in people.
Some of the key take-aways:
- Bureaucracy is the preliminary to death of a company
- Leadership style shift every 100 years - due to physics
- Perfection stops progress
- Aim for 70% completion before you launch. The military does this for very strategic reasons
So, let’s get to it and grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Don and his amazing journey.
Don’s Bio:
Don Schmincke is the author of the Best-Selling book The Code of Executive and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and USA Today. He is an Award-Winning Speaker, Researcher, Founder of the SAGA Leadership Institute and delivered over 1,700 speeches.

EP 52: Advocating for Persons with Albinism with Boma René Boma
Thursday May 12, 2022
Thursday May 12, 2022
Today we're speaking with Boma René Boma, of White African Music, and Social Entrepreneur and Disability rights activist, particularly for persons with Albinism in Cameroon and across the African continent.
Boma shares his journey as a person with Albinism, how he was drawn to educate through music, and how he became a consultant to the UN on Albinism in Africa to unite and fight for people with albinism and its associated disabilities.
You won’t want to miss when he shares how you can support people with Albinism in Cameroon and throughout Africa by supporting sunscreen distribution. Links below.
Some of the statistics he shares about people living with Albinism are shocking, like this one: 80% of people with Albinism die before the age of 40 due to skin cancer.
In Cameroon and much of Africa, they are still fighting to accommodate people living with disabilities in an education setting. Boma and White African Music are raising funds and raising awareness through music to sensitize teachers, provide sunglasses and corrective lenses to children in need, and provide sunscreen to persons living with Albinism. Sunscreen is very difficult to find and is prohibitively expensive for most people in Cameroon and across Africa. Boma and his team host annual distribution of free sunscreen in their “No Sunburn, No Cancer” initiative. Please see the links in the show notes to support this important initiative.
There’s so much to love about this interview, and I sincerely hope you feel led to support Boma’s initiatives either by making a donation to their foundation, or by sharing far and wide. Anything you do to support this initiative will be appreciated and WILL make a difference.
So, I invite you now to grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Boma and his amazing journey.

EP 51: The Price We Pay for Success with Richard Flint
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Today’s guest, Richard Flint, of Flint, Incorporated, a company specializing in the training and development of individuals, companies and associations.
My conversation with Richard was deep and really interesting. I especially enjoyed listening to his thoughts on leadership and team building. You’ll want to listen carefully to his take on using the word “team” to refer to employees or staff.
I loved the question he said we should all ask ourselves with respect to success: “What is the price I’m willing to pay?” He relates this to the concept that there is a big difference between excitement and enthusiasm. Richard says we need to have purpose, agenda and commitment, using the 3 D’s: desire, determination and discipline.
We talked about doing inner work, and I was struck by what he said about what we don’t confront, and that whatever we don’t confront, we validate. That kinda blew my mind.
He shares what he believes are the best leadership qualities, and that is that leaders do the following:
- Listen
- Enable
- Adapt
- Direct
- Energize
- Revisit
Richard drops so many wisdom bombs; you’ll want to take notes. I really appreciated his slightly different, but very deep perspective on leadership, and as an entrepreneur, I think you will too. Everything we do as entrepreneurs requires us to wear the leader’s hat, and Richard shows us how to do it well.
So, grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Richard and his amazing journey.

Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
Hi everyone! Thanks for tuning-in today for a new episode of Entrepreneur Mindset-Reset. I am thrilled that you’re joining us today to learn about vulnerability and consistency as a way to create engaging content.
I feel so fortunate to have had this conversation with Andrew Ryder, who helps coaches and course creators reimagine content creation in an authentic and engaging way.
Andrew shares his best tips on how to tell better morals in story telling. So if you’ve thought about engaging your audience with stories, or you think you’re supposed to, but you feel strange about it, give this episode a listen. Andrew’s warmth and honest desire to help his clients build their businesses through engagement is palpable.
You won’t want to miss his story about Superman not being relatable until he had an actual weakness. He also talks about the movie “The Greatest Showman” and relates it back to the entrepreneurial journey.
You will pick up quickly that Andrew is a natural story teller, and I was captivated from the get-go. He completely stopped me in my tracks when he said that if you’re thinking of hiring a copy writer, it’s almost as bad as writing your own copy if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Andrew shares so much knowledge, so you’ll want to listen closely and take notes.
Don’t miss his best advice:
- Be consistent.
- Be clear about who you are and what you want, then do that every day.
I so enjoyed our conversation, and I’m certain you will too. So, grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Andrew and his amazing journey.

EP 48: Building a Leveraged Business with Fabienne Fredrickson
Tuesday Mar 08, 2022
Tuesday Mar 08, 2022
Thanks for tuning-in today for a new episode of Entrepreneur Mindset-Reset, THE podcast where entrepreneurs just like you and me share how they master their mindset to overcome obstacles to their success.
At time of recording, I’m feeling very emotional and fully feeling the weight of the events in the world, and right here in our own home in the US. We stand with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, and stand against Putin’s unnecessary violence and bloodshed. We also stand with our trans brothers and sisters and youth in Texas and other states where law makers are waging a war agains their own constituents in the name of bigotry. We must do better. We must love one another. We must take a stand against bigotry and hatred.
May you be gentle with yourself and your loved ones, and if you feel tender and can’t quite put your finger on it, do not discount the gravity of world events. Please resist the temptation to “power through” and ignore your feelings. Go easy on yourself and your loved ones. Give them an extra hug, and if you have pets, do the same. Let them love on you, and give them a little extra attention and affection. We ALL need it right now.
The timing of airing today’s episode couldn’t be better in terms of love, special attention to self-care, and living in one’s values. As we enter the second week of Women’s History Month, I have the distinct pleasure of speaking with the generous, soulful and beautifully powerful Fabienne Fredrickson, best selling author; founder of Boldheart, a business coaching company for women who want it all; wife and business partner; mom to 3 amazing children; and fabulous home chef who I definitely would love to cook for me!
We had such a lovely and warm conversation. We talked feminine leadership, how to have it all and not work weekends, and how to live into her motto of obtaining an “obscenely high” quality of life.
Fabienne shared mindset tips and how she and her team help women business owners, (and a few men business owners) create a wealth consciousness, understand what’s available to them, and how to believe and accept the truth that YOU are divinely capable and worthy of great abundance.
She talked about Ikigai, a Japanese philosophy on the reason for being, which is tied to one’s purpose for living. Fabienne adds to that, and asks the following 4 questions:
- What am I deeply passionate about?
- What am I good at?
- What does the world need vis-á-vis what I do?
- How good am I at monetizing that?
You won’t want to miss when we talked marketing and I had a HUGE “A-ha!” moment with her simple reframe of how we can approach marketing. Rather than dreading it, we need to prioritize marketing, and see ourselves as a marketer who provides such-and-such service to our clients and customers. For example, I can say I’m a marketer who provides business coaching and consulting services to doctor-owners and their practice managers to help them grow their businesses while taking back their time. I invite you to give it a try; I think you’ll feel empowered to change how you see marketing, and see yourself as being in service of others as you always are, EVEN through your marketing.
You won’t want to miss when Fabienne talks about understanding that we can’t actually fail. This was another “A-ha!" moment for me. I have always framed failure as a trampoline or launchpad to success, but taking the negative connotation out of the word failure and reminding ourselves that we can’t actually fail - we simply learn - can be a real game changer for entrepreneurs.
Our conversation is cook-full of so many goodies. So, I invite you to grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Fabienne and her amazing journey.
Fabienne’s Bio:
Fabienne Fredrickson is a beloved mentor to thousands of women in business. As founder of The Leveraged Business program, Fabienne has reverse-engineered how she scaled her business to several million annually, while remaining powerfully feminine.

In today’s episode, I’m speaking with the warm and brilliant Michelle London-Bell, founder of Urban Media Group of Texas, a boutique creative marketing and communications company servicing clients in Texas and beyond.
I think you’ll learn a lot from our conversation, especially if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed or uncertain about what to do with respect to your marketing. Michelle shares some great tips about how to focus your marketing, and the importance of writing persuasive, polished copy.
You won’t want to miss when she shares tips and “nitty gritty” marketing tips and how she stresses the VALUE of investing in your branding, including your presence on social media platforms. In Michelle’s opinion, if you’re a new business owner, your best bet is to invest in your website to create your presence and share the story behind your brand.
She reminds us that as business owners, we answer to multiple stakeholders, so if you have the idea that you’d like to start a business because you don’t want to have a boss, you may be barking up the wrong tree. Your purpose needs to be greater than being without a boss, and making money.
