Thank you for joining us today for a new episode of Thriving Practice.
This episode I’m sharing my own wisdom. I’m sure you’ve experienced the rush, never having time to do what you really want to do, always having unfinished tasks, and feeling like your business might swallow you whole, feeling. Most of us have been there.
If you’re feeling the following:
- Overworked.
- Becoming disillusioned with being in business for yourself and are considering going back to work for a different organization (the VERY THING you left due to burnout and other frustrations!) Listen to episode 9 for more on burnout.
- You’re not experiencing the time and financial freedom you envisioned when you started your business.
Then you’re in the right place today. Here’s why “Time Management” doesn’t work, and what you can do about it.
Time management implies control and getting more stuff done. Time Leadership implies directing your attention and focus toward the activities that contribute positively to the bottom line of your business, and which bring you a sense of joy and accomplishment.
Time Leadership is wrapped around 3 pillars:
- Discovery - ask yourself: “What do I really want?”
- Analysis - how much do you cost your business, and how much money are you leaving on the table by doing things better suited to other team members, or outsourced?
- (Inspired) Action - once you’re clear, ask yourself what the next best step is. What can you accomplish right now that contributes positively to the bottom line or growth of your business?
Make sure to answer these questions, and it’ll start to become very clear where best to direct your energy and efforts in your business.
Please be sure to subscribe and leave us a rating and review if you feel inclined. Leaving a review is an excellent way to share your thoughts and gratitude so practitioners and entrepreneurs alike can find us and learn from the incredible, FREE, evergreen content we’re providing.
